It really weirds me out how many of these couples in these posts have the chores fall to the woman. Isn’t the man an (able-bodied) adult too? Why isn’t he making his own food and doing his own laundry? My husband and I each do our own chores and it seems like that’s what most people should do.

He does not respect her. She deserves respect. When she brings up her complaints, he brushes them off with her low rent means she does the chores. She needs to leave. Better to be alone in your own apartment than put up with being his servant.
