Callan McCarthy is a playwright from Rhode Island, USA. After receiving an MA in Playwriting from City University of London she was employed as the Commissioning Editor of Plays at Methuen Drama, Bloomsbury Publishing.
At Methuen she championed work from early to mid-career theatre makers, helping young artists get published, and demystifying the industry.
In this workshop she will help to outline how the play publishing industry works and reveal the hidden secrets.

Arts Council England review
An independent review of the Arts Council England (ACE) covering strategic objectives, working relationships and partnerships, and the relationship between ACE and government.
The government is reviewing Arts Council England.
It a good opportunity to highlight the pros and cons of the funding body for a report that will be published in August.
