Loved visiting Danville last Friday to talk with Dr. Gary Miller and area nonprofit leaders. As economic opportunity comes to Danville and beyond, increased housing prices follow--we need to invest early in maintaining safe and affordable housing for our communities.

For my dad, working a 9-5 plus overtime every day since he was a teen. For my mom, who quit her job as a warehouse manager to raise me. For folks who break their backs every day and still can’t get ahead. For all of us: happy Labor Day.

Loved getting to spend time in the Heart of Virginia this week. And great talking with Senator Warner and Prince Edward Supervisors Pride and Cooper-Jones about the struggles facing working people across our district.

Loved meeting folks in South Hill yesterday and hearing about local concerns. #VA05 deserves a leader who spends his time learning our community instead of taking selfies at a resort in Florida.
