Sometimes the person who is inviting me is on the other side of the organization, and getting the to use a different invitation method is… non-trivial. I’m willing to pay $8/month to avoid that running around.

This exists because sometimes a client will want to use Slack's external user feature to bring me into a single channel in their org, and that requires a paid account from me as the invitee.

The worst thing that ever happened to code review was adding any notion of "approval".

It's taken the whole idea from "innate desire for feedback, even if you disagree with it" to "what do I have to do to appease this person so I can get my work done".

Oh! Don't forget people who want to relitigate past architectural decisions they disagree with.

Everyone except people who view their aesthetic preferences as more important than getting things done. They'll be losing one of their most powerful tools!

It may take a jump or two in reasoning, but this is exactly why I think code review is mostly a waste of everyone's time.
