Getting into the #Halloween spirit with a creepy tunnel, all built and rendered in #Houdini.

Still learning Karma rendering and had a tough time getting the noise out of this one. Seemed like its all specular noise.

Last #free HDA for a bit, but its another useful little utility.

Similar uses as Delete Small Parts, but this will find faces with the smallest width or length, not just area.

I have wasted way too much time building UI for games I never finished making, but it is fun to tinker with! I always try to focus on the main gameplay first now.

Yeah, i'd agree, last part particularly feels too slow. The left arm feels a bit off too, like it might be broken and just swinging around with momentum.

I would agree for the first half, but like others have mentioned it gets a bit too slow, or maybe drawn out after that. Couldnt bring myself to finish it.

I have been tinkering with a level generator (path to room, and repeat, with extra side paths at the end) and wanted to see how well it could tie in with PCG.

If you havent yet, you should download the UI Material Lab project that Epic put up for free in the samples section. Tons of great effects like this to play with and learn from!

Might be nice to add a little noise or distortion to the wave shape. Help to hide the faceted, hard lines in some spots too.

The camera shake feels really strong for those type of hits. Might make it hard to scale up with bigger moves or weapons too.

It might be nice if the burst at the end had some of the motion and directionality of the projectile. They feel a bit like 2 separate effects at the moment.
