Second time in the span of 6 weeks our youngest came down with norovirus. This virus is a special sort of hell, I hope a vaccine is available sooner rather than later! 🀒

Refreshing to see who Mr.Rogers called the helpers. This crew renewed my decreasing faith in humanity.

As a James Bond nerd, I am so excited to see all of the films on Netflix. Anyone have a favorite Bond? Mine is Daniel Craig! #Skyfall #jamesbond

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. It's getting harder to remember as the number of living Holocaust survivors dwindles. Read this piece on the work of remembering: lnk.thebulwark.com/49ZzOP0

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Good thing I never used that app and deleted facebook/insta when Orange Caligula came into office again but another social media site controlled by these fascist goons is terrifying.

This is a wonderful thing to do. As a new academic, I sent my thesis proposal to two Professors and they responded with positive feedback and excitement about my idea and it made my day! We all need some positivity given the current state of affairs.

Samwise had it right during the journey to Mordor. Find the helpers and stay true to each other. For these are the times that try men's souls.

I'm old enough to remember when CBS News and journalists like Edward R. Murrow held power to account, instead of capitulating to it.

I have empathy. My children use empathy. If you dont care when children are torn from parents and you laugh about it....tells me your a fascist pig. Idk if anyone can learn empathy but it is being lost in the duhaminization on Fox news. Help your neighbors and vote out the thugs.

Science works. Vaccines save lives and history is there to learn from. Just following orders was not an acceptable defense at Nuremberg. Pay attn to Russia, he is testing the fences. As a military historian, the warnings are here. I hope people wake up before its too late.

All I wish for this country, is for calm and collected voices to be heard. Violence is not the answer, and instead of seeing others as your enemy, try to speak to them. Maybe then, you will realize who the enemy is. No empathy is the death of society as a whole.
