sleepless nights
like cooking chocolate
dark, hard and bitter

Banditry (First published by Dust Poetry 2023)
Fluffs of blue and yellow,
chattering like children let out early from school,
the Blue Tits mob the feeder,
looting it of seed and peanuts.
Then they are off
to burgle another garden
with their smash and grab technique.

I usually write longer poems that the one I have just posted. But BlueSky does not seem to want me to put the longer ones up. I will try and find some moer shorter ones to post.

Chill as the ice that birthed it,
midwifed by an adolescent sun.
the water hurtles to its demise
to bury itself in the brackish vastness
of an estaurine grave.

Its simple racism - the Krays were white.

Thanks for that idea but they all seem to have finished for 2025 round here. I am on the short list for one in 2026 but other than that the reamining ones are over 100 miles away and would involve overnight stays etc.

Does any one have ay suggestions on exactly how yu market a book without spending a lot of money on it. The publishing companies that have produced my books are small and I have limited funds but I would like to market them a bit if I can.
