all that to say i never understood the sentiment that he like hates it lol smash fans are just super entitled and let that control the narrative im afraid

oh definitely lol, if sakurai also has to reference so much stuff from other franchises for smash it would make sense that he would just take the stuff he did from kirby and call it good. plus, kirby’s one of the original fighters. i don’t think they see a lot of “new stuff” anyway

i honestly think it’s just people being upset about lack of representation of the new stuff in smash and somehow interpret that as “he hates it” when it’s just like not there lol

kirby air riders looks like it’s goes crazy though i’m definitely picking it up. it looks like a sega arcade racing game and to me that’s where it’s at
