We have done the same Xmas Eve dinner thing for decades: fried cod with horseradish sauce, barley casserole, usually a big salad. My sister-in-law started this from her Czech family tradition?? IDK, but it’s delicious so we’ve stayed with it. Fresh cod 👍

I like to use checks to write donations to certain charities because if I use electronic means (online form, eg) they’ll have my email address & then I get a zillion requests for money for the rest of my life. In learned this the hard way.
