Among my other misadventures yesterday, I also managed to dump half of pasta into the sink, leaving me with way too much sauce for the pasta that survived. Fortunately, it tastes pretty good spread on a baguette, so no harm done in the end 🍽️🍜

I woke up this mornin, went to go let the dog out, saw a skunk on the deck, and you can probably guess what happened next. I didn’t want to bother going to the store after all that, so made my reliable weeknight pantry pasta 🍽️🍜

Trying out the bean pudding recipe from the Rancho Gordo website. It’s very fluffy, but even halving it, that’s a lot of bean all at once! Still, it’s worth playing with the recipe and seeing what can be done with it 🍽️🍜

When I was little, canned chili was way too spicy for me, and my poor parents had to put so much ketchup in it to convince me to eat it without bawling. As an adult, my tastes are a bit more refined, and I’ll even make my own chili sauce for my chili 🍽️🍜

Today I went with some of my friends to help clean up a local park. Tonight’s dinner is a little heavier than I usually prefer, but cabbage is a good reward for a good day’s work 🍽️🍜

Today is big trash pickup and also happens to be a little stormy. All of the noise from the trucks, trailers, and thunder has my dog unsettled and barking. However, I’ve recently realized that he likes watching me in the kitchen, and so instead of having a relaxing morning with a book, I cooked 🍽️🍜
