It could've been nice to have people directed towards the booth when they got something. But indies we're located in such a horrible section that you could only find us by wandering around ๐

Could we get events and expos like this to work for indies?
Are there some that actually work? Different countries or formulas?
Is it better for AAA games?
How do you make it work if barely a few hundred peoples actually try the game?
From a cost-to-wishlist standpoint:
We need to 10x or more the amount of wishlists and visibility gained to justify the $ invested. Barely any streamers, no media...
If we ever do in-person events again, we'll have to focus on local events where we can merge B2B & relations with the expo.

Just got back from Dreamhack Stockholm๐ where we had an indie booth to show off @altkeygames.bsky.social
In-person events help validate game mechanics, define onboarding and identify issues.
We had a blast, players loved the demo & we came back home with great ideas.
