I had the worst burrs on me because I had to dodge the entire sidewalk closure of the 20th street build underway up in St. Louis Place. They were ridiculously stabby and I can commiserate. We shouldn't have to wear boots or long pants just to travel around the city.

That corner is one of the worst offenders, but also I walked lots of Soulard yesterday and they definitely aren’t the only offenders. People sure get mad if you tell them their golf carts don’t belong on sidewalks.

Soldan High on Union is offline this school year due to the tornado. Old Euclid School was vacant and got hit hard. On bottom row are streetviews of damaged residences on Euclid near Euclid School.

I have seen a lot of decline even since winter 2023/2024. I feel like its days are numbered and it's such an interesting historic enclave there.

Every time there’s one of these, I calculate how close I was to it and wonder if a driver would have stopped for me. It’s inhumane. We shouldn’t have to live this way.

I started the series earlier this year because it was the oldest unread book on my goodreads TBR and now I’m onto book 4, a new release. I guess it’s time for me to find my next oldest series!

#WeekWithoutDriving Day 3 - Got out late, took a double loop giving each dog a mile. Halloween decorations look great at night but it would be nice if street lights were designed for pedestrians (lights facing sidewalks) versus cars (lights facing streets). Total distance - 2.05 miles.
