Maybe start by using your power on the E&A to make sure more than 4 people in the city get rental assistance.

People always love to bring up how we already have data centers now, like we couldn’t tell based on the dead zones they create. It’s such poor use, it makes the pedestrian space unwelcoming, and then usually there’s a giant parking lot nearby that also is a waste of space. I hate them all.

Just so you know, every single day some county boomer is on Facebook begging Elliott Davis to run for mayor of St. Louis. Meanwhile Davis, a county resident, ignores the homeless issues in his own backyard because it doesn’t get as many clicks.

I was just back up in O’Fallon Park and I still can’t comprehend how it’s the same place. My brain just looks at all the stumps in horror and refuses to process the before and after.

Struggling St. Louis program to repair vacant land bank homes gets boost from aldermen The struggling Prop NS program aimed at repairing vacant homes in the city’s land bank will have more relaxed spending rules under a bill approved by the Board of Aldermen.

"Through Prop NS, the city stabilizes homes in the city land bank and lists them for sale to investors or prospective home renovators. However, after five years, only 12 homes have been fully rehabbed through the program." #STL

I was on the opposite side of town for where you need but ended up at the South Kensington Station many times. It looks like Premier Inn London Kensington (Earl's Court) hotel is a 15-minute walk with good transit and restaurant access if you want a starting point for location.

During my last trip, I noticed most places I was visiting were near the Circle line so I made sure my hotel also synced up with a spot on the line. I went with the Premier Inn chain because I was looking for a no frills hotel and it served me well across the UK.

Here’s some more shots around Walnut Park East and Mark Twain. The area had so many people out today and I swear every other person was vacuuming their car.

There has been no de-escalation. Case in point: MPS is continuing to offer online learning through April 6.

The other aspect of this that does not get much attention:

There is a deep grief within all of us women every single time we watch men refuse to hold other men accountable. And it happens over and over and over again, right in front of us. A constant refrain of β€œwe don’t care about you”

I last walked that city/Wellston boundary back in September and it was really clear to me that even then more services would be needed there.

We had three teams go out twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, and I was able to take on an afternoon slot. It was kind of nice to be a guest on a walk audit instead of leading one.

For every good thing about St. Charles, there's always someone in charge who wants to find a way to strip it of joy (and apparently money)

I was literally out with MODOT engineers, city streets people, and other design engineering folks talking sneckdowns on Gravois earlier this afternoon. I was kind of grateful to have some visuals on ways we can improve the road, even if it made for a very tricky walk.

They also have rejected a lot of applications without explanation, word of which has spread and turned off people. There's a lot of people who need help with official IDs, deeds, insurance and mortgage documents and their closest library is closed so they can't even print. So many little gaps.

They were really vague around answering this. They said there's yard signs in key spots, they've done "some" canvassing, and hosted a couple events at resource fairs, which is where we should have been when they opened applications but not this much later.

Lions Club farmers market is leaving St. Charles, fed up with city taking its cash St. Charles collected 25% of the farmers market registration fee last year, resulting in more than $16,000 being taken from the Lions Club's charitable works

"Then St. Charles started to demand a portion of the market's registration fees. Last year it was one-quarter of the fees, or $16,000. This year, it would have been one-half. And next year, the city said, it would be three-quarters."
