Exactly. Last year I went and said hi to a few friends, saw their games, and then just wandered. Caught a few panels and went through the vendors and checked out retro stuff. 1 day was plenty of time to see what I needed to.

In a really really weird turn: I might not go to pax east this year. After nearly 13/14 years of going; many as media or supporting exhibitor friends; moderating panels.
