A fascinating talk with @marxnick.bsky.social on the show this morning. Always good to reckon with "the millennial urge," especially when it comes to comedy!

How โSouth Parkโ could help Democrats win back the young voters the party lost to Trump
A cartoon built on skewering the powerful and self-righteous isnโt taking its foot off the pedal.
With record viewership among young men, โSouth Parkโ is roasting Trump week after week.
Satire wonโt win elections on its own, but a media professor say the showโs mockery could help Democrats reach voters theyโve lost.

They look like Nazi salutes. Here's why some people think they're a joke
Multiple people have given stiff-arm salutes after Elon Musk did it twice on Inauguration Day. Many claim it was a joke but extremism experts worry the once-taboo salute is getting normalized.
As we continue to grapple with fascist rhetoric in myriad forms, humor (or "humor") is a genre to which we should be paying a lot more attention. Glad to see @npr.org consulting Communication scholars, including my colleague @marxnick.bsky.social www.npr.org/2025/03/15/n...
