This Kestrel was practising it's hunting skills on the abundance of Great green cricket's this year on the dunes of RSPB Minsmere Suffolk.

The Kestrel took a nose dive into the brambles to catch a cricket.

Capturing a Kestrel in flight has always been a dream of mine, this year in 2024 I achieved many photos of this kestrel doing that.

Occasionally the Kestrel would just sit about waiting for it's prey to show it's self.

I had the pleasure this year in 2024 to finally capture a Kestrel in all types of poses and flying. This is a first for me after years of trying, and this particular kestrel was easy to spend time with and I gained it's trust. This resulted in me getting wonderful captures which was so rewarding.
