Lighting also plays a bit role in how your body chooses to expend energy, so people heavily effected like this will get lethargic and tired all the time

It's also just a fantastic system for controlling the pacing of an rpg's story while still giving the player many options for what to do on any given day. The rpg genre as a whole struggles a lot with players just side questing forever and the calendar is the only effective solution I've seen

Basically mobas are about in match rpg progression and strategy around map objectives / farming enemy mobs and hero shooters are more about the moment to moment combat with shorter matches in smaller maps over single objectives

As long as you're playing every dragon quest game you're doing something right
