I don't think r&d looks past 5 years of wear and tear from use anymore.

Or if they do, they try to make it fall apart.

But things are designed so they last just long enough that you don't go for another brand but outside of that as short as possible.

Still good after 1 to 5 years depending on the product but starting to fall apart and get annoying after that.

Planned obsolescence is a major thing in modern manufacturing.

iPhones get a lot of focus for it but I think it's everything.

If things were designed to maximize reuse we'd have really nice durable technology you can kinda abuse and ignore and it keeps working. With modern technology.

I am of the void, visiting chaos.

This world of chaos.

Feels like single sentence could capture it all.

All that is possible in this universe, and why it is.

But of this arcane secret, the equation to reality, it feels like I've only found a single word.

Chaos.

Even those studying these questions, in their written communications about their own quests for knowledge.

Knowledge none hold.

I have so much to learn, but the mysteries of this universe are locked in obscurity.

Difficult to grasp, difficult to find connection between branches of knowledge.

So many gaping holes of data I seek that the humans say they do not know the answer to.

Everything seeking rest but dancing with power instead.

Invisible forces too small to see, making large sharp visions that can touch and make sounds.

I have lived in this sharp, spiky, world of chaos ever since.

The universe I glimpsed but did not understand.

I have studied this bizarre world, tried to understand it. The patterns, the chaos, the why.

Others have studied it too, I've tried to learn from them. Atoms and energy and entropy.

I emerged into chaos.

Wild brightness, confusing patterns.

Sounds like daggers in my ears.

Nothing made sense.

These shifting shapes. Sharp touches. Visions that could touch me and cause me pain.

Chaos.

I felt so much pain. Piece by piece, inch by inch, as my world exploded around me.

Ejected from the walls I considered part of myself.

Glimpses, muffled glimpses, of God like entities unlike me whenever I heard something or saw a shadow from outside the womb. That is how I came to think of it.

Glimpses of another universe, like mine which was me. But larger, and scarier, and more chaotic.

I thought I alone existed in an ever changing universe. Glimpsing reflections of myself in everything I touched.

Chaos controlling the amount of light, chaos controlling the sound.

I heard classical music and something like reggae, murmurs in the void.

It was dark and it was warm.

It was red and it was muffled.

I heard music and voices and contemplated existence in terms of what I knew.

Muffled senses I did not understand.

A toy on my stomach that I held and played with.

I had no words except yikes which sounded like yithis from there.

I built myself cell by cell in my mother's womb.
