I live in a town with a population of just under 100k. Within my town there are 25 primary schools. Any household in my town has a choice of at least 3-4 primary schools within walking distance. Walking is also encouraged by making school areas strictly no parking with low speed limits.

America is a car dependency hellscape. Why not just have schools within walking distance of communities. Also without the school shootings.

Almost every single 'Trans' account has hundreds or thousands of followers/following. Has thousands of posts. They're either bots or terminally online.

But you're right about an army of bots.

On my walk today I spotted a great many things. The birds were too flighty to photograph, the rabbits too hoppy, and the thousands of baby fish too glittery. This mushroom, possibly an Agaricus Augustus (Prince), was more than happy to pose for me, though. #TouchGrass

I'm not surprised. I genuinely expected better of her to be honest. There are some great councillors under the Labour party in the area who listen to feedback and deliver results. I'm hoping we have a true alternative come 2029 and those councillors move over to it.

The Trade union council featuring in the photo I posted ends up collaborating much more with the green party than it does with labour nowadays. Always going to the same events as the greens whereas labour doesn't appear in an official capacity, although I do see labour members at them too.

In 1984 lesbians and gays joined miners striking when the government sequestered union funding. The trade unions have not forgotten the support received from a community that seemed a world apart from the miners, and since then trade unions march in solidarity in pride protests (Today In Darlington)

Sometimes just having the right people in the council makes all the difference. Every couple of weeks the councillors come to the community centre to speak with us during the food bank time and since we know the concerns and desires of the community we can feed it back to them.

We're seeing a bit of change, my local community centre has just gotten funding to renovate the playground and that got done within a week. Brand new slides, swings, pull up bars, benches etc. It's been needing to be done for the best part of a decade. We just got another government grant too.

Since the country runs off the back of volunteers, how about giving them free bus travel? I volunteer for Scouts, A food bank, and for my local community centre and will also volunteer in schools and litter picking at a less regular capacity. Free bus travel would mean I could volunteer more.

I've had run ins with the exact same people on other alternative social media platforms. I recognise some of them. The ONLY way to deal with them is to just block them on sight. Do not bother engaging in conversation or argument. They are aggressive, ignorant and toxic. There's 0 point. Just block.

I do think it's amusing that whenever people make fun of my drawings because they're "childish" I have to remember they're childish because I stopped drawing when I was a child because people started making fun of my drawings. This is why we need a supportive and encouraging environment.

If being high is 'essential' to any part of your life or the ability to experience something deeply, then I would see that as a problem.

I've got nothing against people choosing to get high, but I do find it frustrating when people glorify them or act like they're necessary.

Also don't accuse someone of lying when you're not certain. I don't expect an apology but fact checking is important before accusations fly.
