Today is #F1 driver & #Paralympics hand-cyclist Alex Zanardi’s 59th birthday. I have no inside intel with regard to his ongoing recovery, but we all wish him well, & I have no hesitation in saying that he’s one of the most impressive people I’ve ever met.

I am not sure yet if I can join this year, so I can't send in a proposal now. I will clearer plans for February-March later this year, but not today for sure.

Once upon a time in #F1, you could easily recognise a driver by the design of their helmet and a large, well visible number on the car. Now, with drivers constantly changing their helmet's colours, and the number almost invisible: good luck remembering the colour of each driver's onboard camera 😮‍💨

Of all the teams that existed in 1979, only three remain today: McLaren, Ferrari, Williams. All the teams in that picture, except Ferrari, are dead: Lotus, Brabham, Alfa Romeo, Arrows, Tyrrell, Wolf. Sure, one can say that Tyrrell is still alive as Mercedes but... is it really the same team?

The portrait doesn't look very accurate, and the car has artifacts that give it a rather AI-look. Maybe the whole thing **is** AI-generated, after all? 😏
