I find it ironic how often we’re talking about “noise”, while out of time for topics with leverage.

My best managers regularly moved standing meetings to accommodate more important activities.

Discernment of what gets airtime is a rare skill.

Followed by coaching the requesters on what and how they need support.

The goal for me is to enable others to be as autonomous as possible, while still aware of the boundaries and implication for those around them.

It's not the sum of the parts but the product of their interactions.

Nothing needs to be crushed or dominated.
