The proliferation of psych-diagnoses isn't leading young people to 'organise against state & fascist oppression' its sadly enabling them to better align with (via drugs & minor accommodations) the dominant structures of contemporary neoliberal society. You'll never diagnose your way to liberation.

For those on the left who are not socialists, or who do not ally with socialist parties, I don't really understand: what exactly is the project? What is the plan?

I guess Matthew no longer sees himself as a socialist. I recall him standing for the Labour Party. I didn’t realise he’d joined the Tories. He seems to have changed a lot since I knew him when he was doing his A levels and playing table tennis. I thought he had mellowed when I read Bounce.
