ISO 8601 is great but yeah a little unwieldy. Although I had to switch to DDMMMYY (18Dec24) for work and I kinda love it now.

It took mine like 2 weeks to really get going. So you’d be cutting it really close with no time for practice. Might as well try though!

Or you could get an established starter from someone and start baking right away. I’ve shared mine with a few people including a random from Reddit a while back.
