I think not the USA should nationalize their voting. Instead you should learn from and copy norway.
Norway is ranked #1 in the Democracy index with a score on 9,81. Up from 9,55 in 2006. Norway has one of the longest voting periods in the world. It is possible to vote over a span of more than two months. The USA is ranked #29 with
