Kangfu Peng, Hong Zhang et al. show that scramblase-attenuated #Celegans ATG-9 mutants rescue the #autophagy defect and lysosome damage caused by nondegradative autolysosomes. This uncovers the role of ATG-9 in regulating #lysosome function & integrity. rupress.org/jcb/article/...

Researchers at the Rosalind Franklin Institute, The Alan Turing Institute, and STFC Scientific Computing have developed a new machine learning model that will improve the detection of proteins in 3D images, such as those obtained by cryo-electron tomography.
