🧫 Why It Matters
MSH6/PMS2 LS has been considered “lower risk,” w/ screening starting later. But these findings suggest that many early cases—including CRC—may be missed under current guidelines.

🔍 Key Findings:
• 44% of 285 individuals had neoplasia; 19% had CRC (median CRC dx age: 38)
• Among 824 total procedures, 24% found neoplasia
• In <30 age group: 13% had neoplasia; 3.3% CRC—all pre-LS diagnosis
• No significant difference between MSH6 vs PMS2

🧬 New Lynch Syndrome Insight: Neoplasia Is Common in Young MSH6/PMS2 Carriers!

A multi-center study from MSK, UPenn, & Dana-Farber analyzed early-onset neoplasia (incl. CRC, adenomas & serrated lesions) in MSH6/PMS2-associated Lynch syndrome (LS) via colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy before age 50.
