Moved into my office today, and thus the semester is underway. Still wrapping my head around the fact that it's actually happening.

And that's a wrap-up on #ArtFight for this year! Feels really nice to hit the 50 attack mark, get the 150 Attacks! Achievement, and progress in my art skills a bit because of it.

Kind of in the middle about the theme for this year's ArtFight. Might go with Crystals because of time crystals in quantum mechanics/condensed matter physics, but no certainty to that decision.

#Pride Month felt like an appropriate time to have a bit of a redo of my profile, put it more in line with my sona and whatnot.

My space marine character Garrison, situated within the depths of Hell, armed with his shotgun and covered in blood from previously slaughtered demonic creatures, looking past some chaotic, spiky rock formations down at something. More demons? A central locale like a temple or altar where the damned are used for the unholy beings vile needs? Who knows? All that is known is that Garrison is here to kill 'em all.

Recently watched Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (quite enjoyed it), and it inspired me to do this drawover/scene study (?) of my Doom/Quake character Garrison in the same pose (while in the depths of Hell of course) as young Masbath during one scene.

Certainly is, I tell you.

There is a bit of a wistful feeling to it, at least for me. Moreso in just realizing that I've actually managed to come this far, if that makes sense.

I've just been processing the fact that I have finished undergrad, and have thus graduated.
Grad school will be interesting when the fall comes around.

Artpiece styled after the album cover of the debut album of the band Mr. Bungle, the name swapped out with Mr. Malcolm, as Malcolm is the name of the character depicted front and center in the art. He is hold a struck match with a blunt in his mouth which is already emitting smoke from being lit. He looks down at the match with a scowl as if the current effects of the joint aren't enough for what he is feeling in the moment. The background is awash in psychedelic mixtures of pale green with multiple other colors and abstract, symmetrical patterns. Up on the top corners are cartoonish versions of Malcolm showing some parts of his emotional turmoil, wrapped in vine-like designs, also in reference to the original Mr. Bungle album cover. Instead of yellow and orange, the album cover's borders are colored two shades of a paler green.

Introducing another character of mine, Malcolm, through a nod to Mr. Bungle's debut album based on this dude's internal turmoil.

Why Mr. Bungle? Because I think they're a good band.

I've been busy with academic obligations, so in the meantime, accept this meme image I made with the #zubeia rig done by Paul1748, available on their Gumroad for free.

Being a dragon nerd, the designs of Zubeia and the Archdragons from #thedragonprince has been growing on me in recent months.

Cithar. A writhing mass of pure black-and-red chaos, and a mockery of the essence of existence, this infectious abhorrence lays on a plane of reality that some have alleged was, at one point, the tenth circle of Hell, its accounts lost by the arrival of this being's cancerous, annihilating madness.

Verx. Not much is known about where it came from. Some say it was a formless being attached to the image of the Devil, others say it was birthed from the darkness of intergalactic space itself, attracted to Earth by humanity's perpetual suffering. One way or another, it relishes on divine fear.

Hylkaeth, what was left of a human being named Koby Haethly, involved in a group desiring contact with beings that evoked emotions of the sublime. Koby was made the sacrificial lamb for a planned contact with Azathoth, and now embodies the Blind Idiot God's essence at the cost of their humanity.

This is Colt Blazkovich, an astrophysicist born a human but brought back from certain death as an android with superhuman resilience and strength. While driven to protect those more vulnerable, his methods can be violent and intense, being very jaded.
