My 2nd cousin was found, identified via dna testing. While this removes that glimmer of hope of finding him alive after the floods, closure is better than continued unknowns.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

I saw Looper again last night, and what most struck me was how plausible 2044 Kansas felt, compared to when the movie first came out.

I am hoping it might be something environmental, if only because that would be something we could work to resolve.

When we watch a movie, I usually try to find someone else posting about it to work from - but I see no footprint here for Rats! Which is a movie that manages to have strong 2007 vibes while also being truly insane.
