This, definitely a limit is needed. Last governor election there was something like 30 different candidates, and not all made statements for the ballot guide book. Granted, many could be easily dismissed based on those statements alone 🤣

You're opinion is valid, that is a significant origin of policing in the US, and all of those things have happened. Just not all the time everywhere. And you're probably a little right that the current system in the US is likely unfixable.

Others have made major changes to earn back community trust. Granted, these are few and far between, and I assume in places where citizens of those towns were engaged and willing to call out such corruption along with leadership willing to do something about it.

While I agree that police corruption is at an all time high, or maybe has always been this high, it's not universal. Unfortunately, none of the major cities have made huge changes, but some smaller towns have shut down their departments and started over after corruption was uncovered.

We're not dealing with legally abiding law enforcement here. They aren't playing by the rules.

I don't understand why you would post this meme in response to someone providing safety advice in regards to dealing with a tear gas grenade. This information literally helps protestors not put themselves at unnecessary risk if they don't have the equipment to deal with such an object directly.
