Name: Charmander
Pronunciation: Char-man-durr
Etymology: Charred + Salamander
Type: Fire
Design Origins:
Based on a salamander, which has many ties with fire. For example, Aristotle in his “History of Animals”, describes the salamander as having a Mastery over fire.

Gigantimax Venusaur has the leaves of the plant on its back now overgrown and covering the rest of its body.

Mega Venusaur further develops this idea with the plant now sprouting up further and the palm tree leaves now with their own trunks connected to the central plant. The ropes connecting the leaves are vines

Design Origins:
Much like Ivysaur, Venusaur seems to be based on a horned frog, though more grown than its previous form. The flower on its back has fully bloomed, and is more clearly based on a Rafflesia, or Corpse Flower.
