My first issue was #172 where it's revealed Fiona was cheating on Sonic for Scourge. I had no clue who Scourge and Fiona were. It left me intrigued enough to read more anyway.

Genuinely, where do you even go from how the original series ended?

If I were an animator working on a new short for a popular series, I would want as many people to be able to watch and enjoy it as possible. Especially given how difficult and time consuming animation is.

How does this benefit anybody?

I've never seen a James Bond movie in full but it's something I'd like to get into and I plan on someday getting the 4K blu-ray set of the Sean Connery films whenever I have the money for it. (And hopefully, they'll make similar sets for the rest of them.)

One of the main reasons is likely having to explain why he isn't guarding the Master Emerald whenever he leaves to do something else. Archie actually had a solution to that by having one of the Chaotix watching it when he's not around. But Game Knuckles doesn't really do that nor trusts anyone to.

My suspicion is that Pacachamac in the movie verse was meant to be Knuckles’ dad and they were forced to change that.

But Knuckles can do cool stuff without delving into his family. Have him actually be a treasure hunter.

You know, Nintendo could’ve made a nice VR helmet as a Switch add on, develop a few games that take advantage of it, and it probably would’ve been fairly successful. But they did Virtual Boy instead.
