I always hear the "but you'll pay higher taxes...." i make great $ after 25 yrs with the same job, have extended health, 100% basic dental, a solid pension and pretty nice TFSA savings. My 32% combined fed & prov taxes is not too bad considering ive had a lot of surg/illness 3 kids... and no bill.

Sorry for a dumb question, I don't pay premiums or other direct costs for healthcare, but can you NOT buy healthcare insurance? Or do u have to? Could you invest or save that $ or would the potential costs make that fee necessary? We have TFSA's, do u have something like that?
