Letterboxd Last Four Watched: 1) Summer Camp- Older women reconnect at the camp they met at as teens after drifting apart in adulthood but the jokes pull their punches too often 2) I Will Never Leave You Alone- Fantastic premise that doesn’t completely land but makes it close enough for a satisfying watch 3) My Blind Brother- a dark romcom that tackles the age old question “what if a disabled person is a massive jerk?” 4) Izzy Gets The Fuck Across Town- so many reviews found the main character unlikable and claimed the other characters did too but that must be projection because the other characters were going out of their way to help her, many of them giving her road beers to take on her way. They were frustrated she was wasting her potential but they didn’t think she was unlikeable. I think people hate what they see as reflections of themselves. Izzy was a hot mess because she had to have a character arc. It’s how stories work.

I almost feel wrong for posting this on a particularly crap news morning on a particularly crap news week in a particularly crap news month but even in the midst of horrors we must find time for small pleasures lest we lose our minds. Last four watched. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched
