So when it comes to writing my own stuff, there may be hard lines I may not cross because my comfort will suffer and that'll reflect on the writing, trust me. It may be cowardly or not as cool/heavy hitting but I'm sorry, I like happy endings and I'll do anything to make them believable.

Like, I keep my cool a lot, I'm a cool dude but I'm also extremely emotional and feel big feelings very easily over things that don't concern or just fictional things really. Because I can internalize that pain so well, I can imagine it TOO well, I end up crying over it.

One thing I do extremely poorly with is when one character in a ship dies. Canon or not, it's the level of heart break that sends me into a tailspin because I'm such a bleeding heart empathetic motherfucker. I remembered that Karkat isn't immortal in canon and had to log off because I started crying

It's such a tiny thing to be giggling over but just imagine any random Purple troll, including your own, getting a letter or some shit that says they have to reside over a legal battle and the government says you have to.
