5 years ago I'd be driving to Southern Indiana for a weekend of drink and fun. Now I fly to Houston to see my granddaughter and I love this!

Every Labor Day weekend for 35 years, these 5 assholes got together for drunken debauchery.
Really, we just watched bad movies, listened to good music and drank a lot. Over the years spouses and kids joined. It was the sort of thing I wish everyone had. Me on the left, of course.

Today has been a slog, did what I had to but just barely, dreading tomorrow.
Gym was disappointed in my lack of sweat. Oh, I sweated, just less due to lower humidity which feels incredible.

For most of today I haven't thought a bit about what had been consuming my thoughts and I just found my way back into the other world and realized that it's almost Friday and the weekend and the inevitable.

I'm beginning to think Gym doesn't like me. Today he punished me with three high output bike rides, 2 ab workouts, bicep curls to death, he murdered my quads and obliques and all in less than 30 minutes and he smiled the whole time.

Truth!

Start of a tough week, going to be saying goodbye to my buddy at the week's end.
Folks will be coming into town all week so there will be tears and laughter in equal measure sprinkled throughout.
