These companies have bought influence from the politicians who represent them...

Any photo of any feline is at least 1000 x better than an image of the non-feline orange felon!

I get the distinct impression that the beeb is preparing to become just another streaming media service, full of commercials...
I wouldn't be surprised if they turn off all the 'broadcasting' completely.
I certainly don't believe the license fee has been good value for many years.

4 kittens I met in Marmaris last week. Hopefully the dishes indicate they are getting food.

These are the smallest 'street cats' I have found, I obviously offered them nibbles/cat stick, but I wished I could do more. In the few minutes I was there, I wasn't sure if there was an 'parent' nearby. Fortunately the weather was still over 24C.

I noticed that both of my neighbours cats suddenly wanted to spend time with me, in my house, during the weeks before they died. I hope it was good for them. They died about a year apart.
They had approved me, from when I would visit or greet them outside. I was glad to comfort them.

I found some on my previous visit, they weren’t aggressive, especially when they realised I had apples for them. There was about 12 cats at this place, but they couldn’t defend their nibbles..

Sometimes there are other visitors! This cockerel was noisy, but followed the female and the recent hatchlings into the shadows, where they disappeared with their camouflage.

The wild pigs in Marmaris are like night patrols. In the middle of the night, when the streets are quiet, they walk around finding anything tasty. I offered them apples, but they stole the cat food as well!

Animals (and humans) usually respond to acts of kindness.
I often see animals respond to my offers of food and friendship: cats, hedgehogs, squirrels, pigs etc
These two remind me of when I was growing up with my twin!
Often all we needed was each other.

I grew up with cats in the family, from the CDS, but I don't remember any kittens. The most recent felines visited me in the last weeks before they crossed the bridge.
They lived with my neighbour.
Every day is better with a cat. (or several)
I always try to help those I meet on my travels.

The CDS is a wonderful thing, bringing felines into our lives just when we need them!

since politicians realised they can sell power, they have only made decisions that helped their sponsors.
They only remember voters when there's an election.
(or the very rare referendum)
tax cuts for the 1% and higher taxes and prices for the 90%
"Trickle down" only reaches corrupt politicians..

I agree with Robin Williams, that all politicians should wear badges showing their sponsors, then voters will know who they represent. It certainly hasn't been voters, for decades!
Has anyone compiled a league table showing how the sponsors have bought power?
Names on the 'rich list' are clues.

My first feline house manager, when I got my own home. She lived to 18 and always stopped eating when she had enough. Very intelligent and vocal. I still miss her a lot. #siamese

I suggested the name "Sky" because when she was little, her ears resembled satellite dishes. She became part of our family.

From my experience of the last 5 decades, I wouldn't believe a politician even when they say their own name!
I agree strongly with what Robin Williams suggested: All politicians should wear sponsor badges, so it's easy to see who they actually represent.

George, do you know of other stations that have feline m&g?
I checked for how to visit you, but apparently I would have to change 3 times each way. May not be possible to use 8 trains on the same day within off-peak hours.

But will any politicians break the link between fossil and green that's keeping prices artificially high?

How could any voter expect a good outcome when all the politicians involved were trying to win something for themselves and their sponsors?
For decades they haven't represented the voters.
Voters didn't choose trading energy (removing the previous competition) or standing charges on utilites...

Currently I only seem to have one hedgehog visitor. But it is coming to my HH cafe several times a night.

I still hope that I will see a mum leading her hoglets to the food, but it hasn't happened yet.

None of those being 'sponsored'/rewarded will allow green energy to be cheaper than from fossil, so the sponsors will be compensated for any 'losses', while they also continue to avoid paying tax...

Until 2000, there was competition between electricity generating companies, so the cheapest were used first.
UK politicians linked energy to fossil, for their sponsors, not to lower prices. Break that link and wind/solar/tidal could reduce using coal/gas/oil significantly.
Sponsors bought power.

Does anyone outside the US say 'gas'?
As the transition to EVs continues, just call it the GO pedal
Lifting off = less go.

Q1: if an EV can recover energy at 20kW, and it was on a "rolling road" could it charge faster than it's 7kW charge point limit?
Q2: Would the drive train be simpler if the motor was at the back, driving a rear axle?
Q3: why would an EV stop using recovered energy for regen braking?

Last year I had so many questions about EVs, and couldn't find answers. I had an idea to buy a 3 year old small van, added what I would need to stay in the van at a campsite, as overnight alternative to a tent or caravan.
