Opinion | I Resented the White House Bitterly. Now I Mourn It.
The East Wing was where Eleanor Roosevelt walked. It was where Jacqueline Kennedy planned the Rose Garden. Now it’s all but gone.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com
“The images we’ve now all seen of the East Wing being demolished are heartbreaking,” Patti Davis writes. “Over the centuries, many presidents have altered the White House, and certainly older buildings need to be updated and repaired. But this is complete destruction.”

Trump’s Mar-a-White House
The president is desecrating a symbol of liberal democracy and replacing it with a tacky, bloated eyesore.
One of Trump's most successful cons is that he is a patriot. The bitter truth is that Trump is an antipatriot. He destroys things that make America worthy of love and admiration. www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-mar-...

Months ago, when Trump was hawking Teslas on the White House lawn, I posted this picture to capture the chaos that was emerging. At the time, I thought it looked extreme. Now it seems naive...even pristine.

Trump Empowers Election Deniers, Still Fixated on 2020 Grievances
"Trump has elevated multiple proponents of his fraud claims into high-level administration jobs. Now, these activists could wield their newfound power to discredit future results or rekindle old claims to argue for a federal intrusion into voting systems."

Don't forget the frauds for which Santos was convicted, including that he "repeatedly charged contributors’ credit cards without their authorization... sought out victims he knew were elderly persons suffering from cognitive impairment" and filed false FEC reports to convince the NRCC he was viable.

Donald Trump announces he has commuted George Santos’ sentence in his federal fraud case:
“at least Santos had the Courage, Conviction, and Intelligence to ALWAYS VOTE REPUBLICAN! […] I just signed a Commutation, releasing George Santos from prison, IMMEDIATELY. Good luck George, have a great life!”
Trump isn’t even trying to hide the fact that the DOJ is completely politicized and the rule of law no longer applies federally

Here's a reminder of what George #Santos did:
He defrauded the Republican Party, he stole credit card numbers from his donors, and he sold out his own family by pretending they were donors. And that is on top of the pile of lies he told voters. ciaratorresspelliscy.substack.com/p/democracy-... 🗳️🏐🕷️
