Can't wait to see it!

This one is far darker than I remember. I think my memories of it were "lightened" somewhat by the silliness of some of the films that follow. Part 2 still has the meanest Freddy, but 3 might just have the cruelest. At least that's true so far in my franchise rewatch.

Oh I don’t know about all that. Cosmic horror has existed in one form or another for centuries. Even Beowulf has tinges of it.

He has. I took a chance and talked to him a bit about it. I’d be interested if Alex Garland feels the same way about the film.

I love seeing this done in film. My favorite recent example would be the bear in Annihilation. Terrifying to hear that thing scream.

I'm torn on this. I feel like we have the ultimate family version of the film, but there's a part of me that's intrigued by a darker, more gothic approach to the material.

I'm gonna need more chip companies to make containers like Pringles so that I can drink the crumbs correctly without blinding myself.
