For those curious as to my PC setup:

Ryzen 7 7900X
64gb RAM @ 6000Mhz
Gen 5 M.2 storage
Radeon 7900XTX

I did get Borderlands 4, against my better judgment. Initial testing on my gaming PC had some dips below 60fps with FSR on, frame gen off.

I’m gonna do some further testing during the day tomorrow and some this weekend concerning UE5 limitations on PC.

Been busy this week between appts for myself and the missus.

Next week is the BIG week.

Got my first ever GBVS top 8 last night in a beginner's bracket. Won the Anila mirror, then lost to Wilnas and Lancelot. Lancelot game went last game last round last interaction.

Granted, it was a 11-person bracket but we do take those!

As the course of the day followed, we eventually found out that POTUS was headed to Barksdale AFB, and the rest is history.

The town I lived in at the time (which was near my hometown) was about a hour from base. In the months following, I would find myself in Utah; running from myself.

in 2001, I was still living with my mom (who's no longer with us). She came in and woke me up, saying "something's going on". We both sat down and saw the aftermath of Tower 1 being struck, then watched Tower 2 get struck live on I think it was CNN.

On this September 11th, I'd like to share how I found out the Twin Towers were hit.

It took 3+ months, but I finally have all the gameplay stuff for Mario Kart World unlocked! I will eventually go back for the remaining costumes and all that, but it's finally time for it to be uninstalled off the Switch 2.

Gonna start Kirby and the Forgotten Land next, then play the DLC.

(for those unaware, I suffer from very severe anxiety issues, and have suffered those issues the entirety of my adult life).

I intentionally limit my news intake, plus social media (minus Discord) to a very large extent.

This is why I post something maybe twice a week, sometimes more than that.

Unpopular opinion (but still my opinion):

Silksong is just another game, and isn’t the second coming.

There's plenty of things to do there, both related and not related to games as a whole, and the Pokemon franchise respectively.

Someone in a discord server I'm in linked the registration page for the Pokemon world championships next year ... in San Francisco!

I'm not really a big Pokemon fan (my wife plays more of the Go mobile game than I do), but I'm willing to hear them out. Plus, the Moscone center is really cool!

If I get into this apprenticeship (which I really do hope I get into), we are likely done here in the US and will become expats. The safety we are used to, even in a small town in a red state; is no longer there.

It was so fucking bad (not in the good way).

That event you did yesterday, you know; the one with celebrities, Googlers saying crunk; and Jimmy Fallon talking about IP ratings?

You likely lost a Pixel sale because of it. Those lost sales are a non-zero number.

The people who signed off on it should be fired, every last one.

I like that there's a variety of aspects about the vehicles. Infantry vehicles and tanks were very good, but they seemed a bit overpowered. I would think that EA is definitely looking into that, on top of the reported cheating issue.

I do make exceptions in some instances (people I already know from elsewhere online; and IRL folks), otherwise I'm looking at your account before I decide to let you in on my timeline. I joke around and do wacky and stupid shit on the daily. I'm not here to farm engagement or clout. This acct was.

I don't mind new people following me, but I do try my best to vet most bsky accounts.

That being said, I don't mind memes (as in the right context, they do help with the miserable state we're currently in). But when looking at your account and it's ALL political memes ...

Don't like the kernel-level anticheat (seriously, retail version isn't out yet and hacks are already available)
Don't like that there's a option for proximity chat (but this is solved by simply turning it off)
Don't like the gun accessories progression (this is why I don't like Call of Duty either)

Additionally, here are my thoughts on the Battlefield 6 Beta (based on around 3 hrs gameplay):

Do like the destructible terrain
Do like the gun customization/class customization
Do like that it ran pretty much flawlessly on my gaming PC.

Don'ts are next.

I think this time next month (or pretty close to it) is the Dallas Pen Show. I have never been!

I would kill for Google to do an Artifacts-like feature for Gemini. I miss that the most in the switch from Claude.

After hearing @ohthatflo.bsky.social's complaints about the current state of Google Home, I'm hesitant to plug up my Nest Hub; for fear of similar issues.

The apartment stuff will probably stay on Homekit for now, where applicable. (As mentioned previously, I'm not jumping in feet-first).

so, most likely I'm changing back over to android in the next 2-3 weeks as part of a biannual upgrade. Instead of switching everything over at one time, I'm gonna go the slow, gradual way this time in migrating everything over. I still have a lot of android stuff left over from a couple years ago.
