Trump administration cuts some funds to Planned Parenthood Planned Parenthood said on Monday it had received notice that the administration would withhold Title X funding from nine of its affiliates effective Tuesday.

The Trump administration will begin to withhold some federal funding from Planned Parenthood starting Tuesday, a move that will curtail access to services including cancer screenings and affordable birth control, the organization said.

We are writing today to ask for your support for NINE people who need our support to get abortion care they need and deserve as we have run very low on funds on our Help Line. Beth* is 34 years old and sadly discovered a fetal anomaly during a pregnancy she had originally intended to continue. She needs $1425 in order to be seen in a hospital setting as required by her own medical needs. Jacey* is in their early 20s and pregnant as the result of an assault. While she is entitled to use her PA Medicaid to cover the cost of an abortion due to the circumstances, she discovered too late that her insurance has fallen inactive. She needs $800 to pay out of pocket for care. Mia* is 25 years old and has fallen on hard times after losing her job. Without an income she is currently houseless and shared she is “having a hard time taking care of herself right now”. After trying to save up funds and missing appointments due to the cost, she now needs $928 for her abortion. Selina* is 35 years old and pregnant as the result of an assault. While she was prepared to use her PA Medicaid to cover the cost of an abortion due to the circumstances, she just missed the deadline to receive care before the PA state gestational limit. She needs $1200 to pay out of pocket for care in a neighboring state. Alli* is in her late 20s and struggling to make ends meet with her part time income. She was prepared to pay for her abortion out of pocket however upon arriving at the clinic, she learned she was further in pregnancy than she expected and the cost is now doubled. Alli needs $730. Finally, FOUR Pennsylvanians over the course of the last few weeks have needed extraordinary pledges in order to get care in neighboring states due to the PA state gestational limit. Jessica* and Tammy* each needed $1500, Sonya* and Diamond* each needed $1000. *names have been changed to protect privacy
