Oh interesting, had assumed the green / yellow on 70008 was a one-off for the 60th branding (as with the grey / red class 90), took me a moment to realise this was another loco painted in this style

31.10.2025 19:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For a long time I associated 376s with not getting a seat, or at least a pair to myself
Been luckier recently (might just have made different journeys), anyway, I'd say they're not terrible as a seat, but contribute to the basic and tired look to the interior

25.09.2025 17:12 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0So, I rode this yesterday and it was *batshit insane*. The twin engines rumbling out of sync is an intensely unique experience, it handles bizarrely, very jouncy, and was an absolute joy to ride.
Also, the twin engine setup is just so surreal on startup.
Always thought the seat divider 'lumps' on the Bakerloo were a neater solution than actual armrests (which they had when originally refurbished, but I believe removed due to damage?)
Wouldn't be possible with more modern individual cushions though
I have a (slight) preference for the fixed seats, but tip-ups give more opportunity to sit down rather than lean on a 'perch' - not that I mind standing on shorter journeys
21.09.2025 19:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I much prefer their sounds to the Northern line's 1995 stock (though I wish these also had the tip-up seats)
