Rugeley by day turned into Rugeley by night for the 3rd trip & a rather nice dusk sky at B’ham International. I was still smiling by the end. The Caledonian Sleeper zipped through too. Finished up with a quick attach & that was a wrap on the day! I’m certainly tired now. #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

The Chase line really is a nice drive in the sun. It’s also fab when you’re working with the amazing ‘Smiler’ as your guard! Girl Power for Train Crew! We had a little leg stretch over the bridge (much needed for me!) #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver #WomenInRail

Sunday has come around again! My shift today is a bit of a slog! Wholly on Rugeley & B’ham Intl corridor today & finishing up with an attach. Got my Iced Tiramisu Espresso & snacks so let’s get those wheels of 7300029 a-rollin’! Give me a wave if you see me today! #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

I wish I could nap in the afternoons. I struggle to drop off. However I’d have no chance today with the mini humans!

My last early began with prepping 730030 & then taking her to Rugeley. Time to grab a quick coffee & then straight out on a Wolves/Walsall… and look there was an @downonthestour.bsky.social working today! Break time now & then over on to the Cross City for last bit. #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

My shift today was a 4.45am spare. I stayed on a bit longer too. Firstly I was called out to drive a Bromsgrove & then a bit later a Four Oaks - just before I went my son passed through New St on his way to watch the cricket at Edgbaston with Nanny so I got a lovely hug! #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

Finished my night with a gig… popped over to the O2 Birmingham to see Extreme for their Thicker Than Blood tour. What a super gig that was! #Extreme #Gig #LiveMusic #Band

After depositing a sugar fest in the mess room (& helped myself to a cake!), I booked on, surveyed the shift & drove the first of two #Wolverhampton trips. I have another to do shortly & then finishing up on the #CrossCity #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

Yesterday, I was spare. After sitting for a bit, I requested a train to drive & was given a #Bromsgrove with a guest appearance in p1.
Later on I was asked if I’d work over my day to drive a #Rugeley with an ECS back to #Wolverhampton to stable & taxi back to New St. #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

I’ve been slacking in my posts!

Here’s Thursday’s efforts: a nice short shift with an amended job - first a trip to Wolves (with a lady complaining that the train was parked ‘down here’ [a end at New St] & not “up there” This was followed by 2x Redditch with an ECS back. #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

My special turn consisted of 2x Wolves, a break, then a Bromsgrove, another break & finally taxi to Soho to bring a #Class350 to stable at New St for the night. #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver

G’Afternoon & happy hump day! Latey late lates for these 4 days, beginning today at 15.24 for a special turn. Lots of specials & amended turns this week.
Commuting to work from a different station as due to engineering works my station has no train service this week.

As the sun sets, so does my Sunday Standby shift. I’ve driven 2 trips to Bromsgroves with 730015/022. As Sundays go, a pleasant shift. I’m off for 2 days now & then shifting over to late shifts from Wednesday. #DayInTheLife #TrainDriver
