this is something i noticed watching binchang vs knee. binchang uses lars, a char w/ bad lows (at that time) to justify his df2. instead of doing his best low db13d (-1 on hit), he does isw & uf1+2 grabs w some hellsweeps & snake edges.
it's how bad low chars get reactions and beat turtle defense.

one thing that gets lost in convos of legacy tekken was how hard grab breaks used to be. they'd tell u that the avg legacy player broke on react but u'd be surprised at how many pros fail at it.
lows & kbd weren't the only things making u duck, this is an important point to make abt tekken history.
