Bluesky feels like a well moderated without feeling overly censored.

Doing technical work in a non-technical office/firm makes it very difficult to improve your craft. Getting involved in spaces that offer mentorship, guidance and training is necessary if you want to see real development. 🐍

You can play these character's, given you have some other motivation, it's just requires more subtleties. Also, if you have story beat you want your character to hit (facing a sibling who betrayed your family years ago) talk to your DM about it. They'll be happy to make it happen.

A good example would be a character being "too cool". If you're character doesn't care about to opinions of others, then they won't be motivated to get invloved. A character who cares very much about being percived as cool has a lot more motivation in any given scene.

Roleplaying is all about motivation. Your charater needs a reason to be doing whatever it is they're doing. I would generally avoid playing a character who standoffish or asocial at first.

This is like 3rd date behaviour, at least.
