2월 초, 수목원에서 바싹 마른 나무 수국을 찍은 사진. 수국의 뒤로 보이는 배경에도 낙엽과 밤송이 등이 보입니다. 수국꽃잎들은 원래 피어있던 모양 그대로 말라 기이하게 아름답습니다. 밝은 지푸라기 색을 띈 꽃잎들이 한곳에 뭉쳐있는 모습이 나방이나 나비떼가 한데 모여있는 듯 보이기도 합니다.

겨울의 수목원은 독특한 재미가 있습니다.
(수목원 다녀왔다는 이야기)

식물별로 시들어있는 모양이 제각기 다른 차이가 있기에 이걸 보는게 은근히 재미있어요.
물론, 온실 속 열대식물이라거나, 겨울에도 시들지 않는 식물들도 즐길수있구요.
낙엽들 사이 바싹 말라있는 나무수국의 꽃은 마치 나비들이 한데 뭉쳐 잠든 모양새같기에 기이한 아름다움이 느껴집니다.
