So basically the Trump Admin’s immigration policy is to increase the number of people from other countries who come in and take high-skilled, high paying American jobs, while deporting everyone else doing physically grueling jobs for shit wages?

President-elect Musk wants to rob Social Security and Medicare to hoard more wealth for billionaires. America needs to realize: wealth is like manure—it’s only useful when spread to fuel growth. Pile it up, and it just stinks 💩

Just so we’re clear what just happened:

Republicans tore apart their funding agreement with Democrats after Elon Musk told them to.

They created a new bill that defunded child cancer research.

And then they failed to pass that bill too.

One completely forgotten part of the Trump admin was the December 2018–January 2019 government shutdown that stretched on and on, not really going anywhere, until the air traffic control system hiccuped and then it was immediately resolved. Thinking of that today for no reason at all.

There’s no such thing as working productively with MAGA nihilists like Elon, Vivek and RFK, Jr. They want to bring down our Republic. Don’t normalize them by pointing out a few of their good ideas.

You can’t play nice with the leopards. Let them into your house and they will eat your face.

It's past time for the Democrats and pundits to understand that we are not in normal times. Treat this incoming administration with the seriousness it demands.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

I legit think the cynical promotion of this this is one of the most brazen acts of public evil I’ve ever seen because there is *no tradeoff* in any way that counts, there’s no complicated externality, it’s just fucking letting people, mainly children die for the hell of it.
