Seems like a forgotten era, but we made some good shit that wasn't initially appreciated (or well marketed), but managed to find a post-theatrical audience. These films just aren't being birthed anymore - and not at the indie budgets we were afforded.

Jonathan Demme’s neo-noir LAST EMBRACE is seriously underrated. It’s as if Demme plugged Roy Scheider’s Doc character from MARATHON MAN into a spin-off paranoid thriller. Great films are the ones that imprint on the memory and trigger all the senses. This one does that.

Wait - Martin Campbell had a new film out in December and I didn’t hear a peep about it, let alone see any marketing. What the hell is happening to this industry? It’s called DIRTY ANGELS, by the way - with Eva Green. Martin Campbell is one of action cinema’s all-time greats.
