ASCO 2025 Interview: Erika Hamilton As practicing oncologists, we can get bogged down in our individual practices and thus have trouble seeing the bigger picture in...

Recently, I had the chance to reflect on chairing #ASCO2025, the evolving landscape of breast cancer research, and why patient-centered innovation matters more than ever.

Ha- love it. We still have more Easter Eggs in breast 🐣! 😜

I'm biased, but think #ASCO25 is going to be great.

#bcsm has some great abstracts this year- #SERENA-6 1L endocrine switch w/ ESR1 for HR+, #DB-09 1L TDXd for HER-2, and #ASCENT04 1L saci + pembro for TNBC

Another positive trial in #bcsm, TDXd followed by THP beats ddAC-THP in neoadjuvant HER-2+ early breast cancer.

We've seen a lot of positive TDXd results, but this is the FIRST πŸ₯‡in the early stage setting!

It's almost like we knew we didn't want measles and all were getting vaccinated so we didn't have to live like it was in 1950 πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

PSA: anti-vax isn't cool, it isn't protecting your family. You and your family don't want complications from diseases that can be prevented.

It was for people who did not have progression on scan yet, but the emergence of a new mutation. So signaling progression was coming.

The sum of PFS and PFS2 will be important to see if people are benefiting from the two lines together longer than if the switch happened at PD.

My kid has to select the proper US state as an online interactive map calls them out in random order in under 2 minutes.

I can't even come close. It's near impossible when you have to zoom in on small states in the NE to accurately press the right tiiiny state on an iPad and then zoom back out.

EU medicines agency quits X, moves to Bluesky The European Medicines Agency (EMA) said on Monday it would no longer post on X and would use rival Bluesky instead, becoming the latest organisation to quit a social media platform that some have criticised for its content.

This is huge.

The European equivalent to the FDA has said enough to the propaganda machine X.

Others will follow.

Yes, Some Vaccines Contain Aluminum. That’s a Good Thing. R.F.K. Jr. and others have blamed the ingredient for allergies and other illnesses. Scientists say it actually bolsters the immune response.

The tiny amount of aluminum helps make certain vaccines even more effective& has a strong safety record. β€œIn the first six months of babies’ lives, vaccines expose them to roughly 4.4 milligrams of aluminum. One slice of American cheese, by contrast, can contain as much as 50 milligrams of aluminum”
