I've never tried the Insect Glaive ever since it came out due to the fact that I had to manage the 'colored buffs' to reach the helicopter stage lol, but so far I've been able to make use of the wounds to get all three buffs and just dish out fancy vaults and stuff 🐝

the targeting,wound and offset attacks have been helpful especially since it does get hard to target specific parts to break all the time more so in the older games, I personally don't think it detracts from the enjoyment or dilutes the "essence of the hunt" that we've all come to know and love
