Hobby-level problem solver, dog lover (though I *do* have a favorite), and tea (or is that beer?) snob. I like rolling my d20, video games, books and comics, and collecting art supplies I mostly don’t use. (she/her)

Right? I was just planning to read these so I could read Yumi and the Nightmare Painter with some world knowledge. Then, against all my expectations, I really got pulled into the whole universe. Four books in now with over ten more to go until I want to read Y&tNP.

Text: I visit her bones on Tuesdays.

In seven seconds, my lungs will scream for air. Seven seconds to mourn a body that nourishes an ungrateful seabed.

Cracks divide her sternum into four parts. Temptation whispers, begging me to take take take. But she’s no longer mine to keep.

Memories crawl forward—unwanted parasites no different than the bone-eating worms sucking on her vertebrae.

My lungs burn, raging at my lack of time management. But I linger, thinking about her touch. Her heart. Her morbid sense of humor.

She was afraid of sharks, but men are so much scarier.

Paper Marbling Fundamentals: Part 1 - Tools and Materials
YouTube video by Four Keys Book Arts Paper Marbling Fundamentals: Part 1 - Tools and Materials

Started watching Four Keys Book Arts to learn how to bind books, but now I want to marble my own paper too? I’m going to need a dedicated workshop. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.

I have been trying to find a word for myself in relation to my dogs for a long time. I hate the word “owner”, so use “guardian” instead. But “kahu” is so much bettter. 💕

It’s funny how empowering our friends and supporting them sometimes makes their parents so mad. You’d think they’d be happy to see some independent thinking in the children they’re *supposed* to be raising to be adults. I’m specifically looking at *you*, teen-era best friend’s mom.

"How can we communicate with optimism about the future … when we're living in the here and now where American democracy is in peril? … And we're supposed to ignore it? Leave it to others to wrestle with …? No no no no no. …

"That is tonight's Last Word on my last day at the Washington Post."

Holding the hands of ttrpg players everywhere as I tell them that you don't need to make every character a comedy focused character. It's okay to have a character be genuine and focused and sincere without needing to fall back on some kind of irony or comedy for whatever reason.

Two up, two down. Whichever letter choice that was I don’t remember.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when a DM creates a big fight that there’s no way the party can win, only for (after the tpk) there to be a time jump so we’re all alive again. It literally makes me feel like the whole session was for nothing. It’s boring and a waste of my time. #ttrpg

Honestly, this is how to do it. It’s amazing how priorities change when the story progresses without you if you don’t show. Life happens, yes. That’s why you’re not punished for a no show. But this way your friends aren’t punished for it either.

Oh. I kill Kar’niss on sight in the Shadow Cursed Lands, so I don’t deal with him here. The only ones in the Ketheric fight are him, one illithid, four skeletal things that Gale nukes w AOE first round, and a handful of intellect devourers.

Make sure you equip your PCs with valuable trinkets, and your melee fighter of choice with strength potions.

I am usu also level 8. I always run w/an Open Hand monk, Astarion (Rogue Thief), Gale (Evocation), but only use AOE once at the beginning to get rid of the skeletons, & either Karlach (Berzerker) or Lae’zel (Fighter Champion). I prioritize movement/mobility. I don’t struggle with the Ketheric fight.

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.

Last night at #dnd my character bound herself to her deadbeat Trickster God/dad in return for his promise to help another PC’s quest to find his kidnapped pregnant wife. I’ve gotta show that guy how a *real* dad behaves. #ttrpg

Sometimes things that are obvious to you guys (the GMs), aren’t so obvious to those of us without the benefit of inside info. Especially if we’re trying to not meta game. You’ve been thinking of this encounter for days. We’re just now seeing it, and without the benefit of your mental imagery.

Yes, of course I brought a book to the Hands Off protest. And of course I stopped at the local brewery afterwards. #HandsOff #BookSky

Hey. Look at me. Please leave yourself a note somewhere you'll see it later that says "it is going to take years if not decades to get the United States government to the level of functionality it had in November of 2024." If we elect a democrat in 2028, we are not going to be up and running by 2032.
Please make sure you have a reminder in your phone reminding you to not look at 2028/32/36 Democratic candidates and say "why are they not promising/ delivering Cool Shit?" because you are going to understand that to get Cool Shit we must have competent people running a decently funded government, and we are not going to have that.
We are not getting UBI. We are not getting single payer healthcare. We are not getting free college or free preschool. We are not redistributing wealth on a large scale. We are not getting free internet. We are not getting ranked choice voting.
If we are lucky, we are going to get an IRS that can collect taxes, qualified schoolteachers, research grants, Social Security, and a government that thinks maybe it should be a priority for people around the worlds to not have AIDS, malaria or TB.

Yes, I did. And I was smart enough to be very frank about what I wanted when I chatted with the new GM re: ai. My new group is so fun that game night is my first priority and I don’t skip for anything.

It’s like, making your own characters develops their personality and makes them easy to RP or something. Who would’ve ever guessed?

I left a group I played with for *years* when all the bros did this for their characters in our new campaign. The players became so boring (which was so new to me condsidering how fun they had been).
