And sure, there are some accessibility options, but those aren’t a catch-all, and it looks visually poor.

One if the most visually off-putting aspects are that some things are more fuzzy, and some text is hard to read; there is one gradient from a mid blue value to a light blue value on a white background, that made it hard for me to read.

One way to use it now without slide over is to make sure the most-used apps are in the dock; then when you need to switch to another window, you can swipe from the bottom to reveal the dock, then select the app to switch to, then do the same to switch back. Or reveal all apps and select from there.

You also have the ability to use Stage Manager if, like me, you don’t need several windows open on your iPad at once.

iPadOS sucks.

This new iPadOS is janky. Gotta figure out a whole new workflow for things now that slide over no longer works.

And look at the N and M keys; there is no second character so they are misaligned.
